I developed a deep respect for nature and it’s intrinsic beauty having spent my formative years in the Orkney Islands, off the north coast of Scotland. After leaving Orkney I undertook undergraduate study of the environment, followed by post graduate study specialising in soil science. A career which I continue to pursue.
My photography covers several genres:
- Landscapes - mountains & remote Scotland
- Seascapes - views of the Scottish coastline
- Wildlife - animal portraiture, behaviour and environment
Working with specialist art printers and using fine art papers I specialise in exhibiting archival quality limited edition monochrome prints.
Personal photographic projects focus my attention on specific areas, species or techniques. Currently my focus is on monochrome seascapes of the north east of Scotland, mountain views and wildlife species photographed from my purpose built hide.
